Passion fruit

The fruit gets its name from the passion flower that is said to symbolise the passion of Christ. The "yellow passion fruit" is also called maracuja. The leathery skin of this fruit is hard and smooth. The skin is not edible. Inside is soft yellow flesh with edible seeds. The flesh has a fresh sweet taste.
