


Romanesco



Romanesco cauliflower is yellow-green in colour and very decorative. The 'turrets' of the cauliflower create a funny appearance. Romanesco is often called tower cauliflower. The name button cauliflower is also used, the turrets resembling Zeeland buttons. Romanesco tastes slightly softer than cauliflower.

Storage
Romanesco can be kept in the fridge for about 6 days. Romanesco should be stored in an open plastic bag.
In a cool place outside the fridge, romanesco can be kept for 2 days.
Preparing
Before use, remove the leaves, cut the florets from the stalk and wash them.

Cooking: approx. 10 minutes
Stir-frying: approx. 9 minutes
Microwave oven: 4 - 6 minutes
Deep-frying: 2 - 3 minutes
