The stalk of the sweet potato is a popular vegetable in Korea, both fresh and dried. The vegetable is often served as a side dish here.

Store the dried version in a dry and dark place.

Cooking - cooling - soaking - ready for further use
Place the stalks in a pan with some cold water and bring to the boil. Let boil for 30 minutes. Then set the pan aside for 2-3 hours to cool. Only then pour off the water and rinse the stalks again. Add water again and soak for 10 hours. Drain and rinse. Now the stalks are ready to use in (stir-fry) dishes.

Dried stalks:
- Cook for 30 minutes.
- Leave to cool for 2 - 3 hours.
- Soak for 10 hours.
- Ready for use in (stir-fry) dishes.
Cleaning sweet potato stems
Dried stems: remove the dried stems from the packaging and wash them.
