Fruit crab in the sand treat

75gr fruit p.p.
Ingredients
8 persons
11 tangerines |
handful of fine oatmeal |
bag of mini marshmallows (2 pieces = 0.7 grams) |
cocktail sticks (32 pieces) |
chocolate sprinkles - dark or milk (16 sprinkles) |
Preparation
This cheerful fruit crab is completely covered in sand. Quickly shake off the sand and start feasting!
- Peel 3 tangerines to make the crabs.
- Crab stay & eyes: take 1 tangerine part, stick 2 cocktail sticks in it (v-shape) and fix it to the top of the tangerine. Prick 2 mini marshmallows on the ends of the cocktail sticks and gently press the sprinkles in.
- Crab claws: take 2 cocktail sticks, prick the tangerine segments on them lengthwise and poke firmly into the tangerine behind the crab claw. Tip: the scissors are at 10 for 2 by imaginary clock.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each fruit crab.
- Serve the fruit crabs on a (blue) tray and sprinkle some oatmeal all around (like sand).
Tip:
You can buy mini marshmallows at the supermarket in the cake and pie decorations section. Of course, you can also cut up a checkered bacon.
Good to know:
The mini marshmallows, together with the sprinkles, weigh less than 1 gram per treat. So the amount of sugar is minimal.
