The Carolina Reaper is the very hottest chilli pepper in the world. You can recognise this extremely hot pepper by its beautiful red colour and wrinkled 'skin'. You can use the Carolina Reaper in a salsa, sauce or sambal. But beware, these are only suitable for people who like extremely spicy food.

    The Carolina Reaper stays good longer if you store it properly. It is best to store this pepper in the vegetable compartment of the fridge at a temperature of between 8 and 10 degrees.

    How do I know if the pepper is no longer good? The pepper smells sour, becomes limp or mouldy. You can quickly recognise this decay by looking or smelling.

    • Use the Carolina Reaper in the sambal
    • Add spice to your chilli sauce
    • Ideal in curries
    • Deliciously spicy for an Asian dish

    Cleaning Carolina Reaper

    The seeds and seeds are the sharpest and spiciest of all peppers. It is therefore best to remove these before use.

    Cut the Carolina Reaper with a sharp knife and avoid touching it with your hands. You can do this by wearing gloves or washing your hands with soap afterwards to avoid irritation. Do not rub your eyes after cutting pepper!
