


Strawberry fruit



The up to 2 cm fruits have a hard knobbly skin. The fruit ripens from yellow to reddish-brown. The flesh is yellow and tastes sour and is not very aromatic. The fruits are mostly used in the preparation of wines and liqueurs, or sometimes made into jam. Raw, they are not very easy to digest. In the Netherlands, you will rarely, if ever, find the fresh fruit.
