Sweet granadilla

Granadilla belongs to the Passiflora family, like the passion fruit and maracuja. The fruit is round or oval. The fruit has a thin orange skin. You cannot eat the skin. You can easily cut the fruit so you can scoop out the flesh. The jelly-like flesh contains edible seeds and has a fresh, sweet-sour flavour.

Storage
You can store sweet granadilla for up to a week outside the fridge (at around 12-15°C). This advice applies if the sweet granadilla is not yet very wrinkled and therefore not yet very ripe. The sweet granadilla will then continue to ripen.

Cut the fruit in half and spoon it out. You can't eat the skin, but you can eat the seeds.
