Tatsoi

Tatsoi is actually a kind of mini version of the well-known pak choi. It is a Chinese leafy vegetable that, like paksoi, is related to cabbage. The small leaves of tatsoi are dark green, spoon-shaped and quite thick. On the leaves are white veins that are arranged together in a rosette. Tatsoi has a slightly spicy cabbage flavour.

How can I tell if tatsoi is no longer good? Pre-cut tatsoi is mouldy, limp or has a sour smell. You can quickly recognise this decay by looking, smelling or even tasting it.
