Avocado smooth skin

Avocado is a popular fruit vegetable. Avocado is counted as a vegetable because it is often eaten as a vegetable. The flesh is very fatty (20-30% fat). The avocado is high in unsaturated fat, good for cardiovascular health. The fruit is also rich in potassium, good for blood pressure. Its fibre content is also high (8-10 grams per fruit). This, in turn, is good for intestinal function.

Preparation & storage
Storage
Store ripe avocados in the fridge.
Do not store unripe avocados in the fridge. This disrupts the post-ripening process and then they spoil.
In a cool place (12-15ºC), you can keep an avocado good for 1 to 6 days (depending on how ripe it was already).
Do you want to speed up the ripening of an avocado? Then put it in a plastic bag with an apple, pear or banana. These fruits give off ethylene gas (formerly known as ethylene), which helps the avocado ripen.
Preparation
Avocado can be processed raw in a salad, made into an avocado spread (guacamole) or baked.
