Just about everywhere in the world you can see the dandelion blooming. Always fun to blow against the fluffy ball with its seeds. Few people know that dandelion leaf is also delicious as a salad. It is also called mole lettuce. Where that name comes from? Because herbalists used to prefer to pick their dandelion leaves in molehills.

    You can keep dandelion leaves in the fridge for about 2 days. In a warm place it quickly becomes limp. You can freshen up wilted leaves by putting them in water with ice cubes.

    Cooking: 4 - 6 minutes
    Braising: 6 - 7 minutes
    Steaming: approx. 5 minutes

    Cleaning the dandelion

    Wash the leaves well. Pat the leaves dry with kitchen paper or swish the water out with the salad spinner.
