Japanese plum

There are several varieties of Japanese plums. These round and sometimes heart-shaped fruits are usually a bit larger than ordinary plums. The colour of the skin varies from cherry red to dark red and purple. The flavour is sweet. A notable difference from ordinary plums is that the flesh remains firm, even when ripe.
