Mandarin (Mediterranean types)

The mandarin is a citrus fruit from the mandarin tree, which originates from China. The mandarin resembles a small orange. These orange cankers are an excellent source of vitamin C and dietary fibre. Roughly speaking, you can classify mandarins into four types: the common mandarin, the Mediterranean mandarin, the satsuma and the king mandarin.

Store tangerines preferably outside the fridge, in a cool (12-15°C), dark place. They will then keep for 5 to 10 days.
Preparation
Tangerines are ideal for eating on the go as a snack. Tangerine segments can also be used in a salad or fruit wrap.
Storage times
Fruit bowl : 1-2 weeks
Cleaning tangerines
Tangerines are easier to peel than oranges because they are looser in their skin. Also, the segments detach from each other faster.
