King of Siam Mandarin

King of Siam originated from a type of hybrid, Citrus nobilis. A mandarin is a citrus fruit from the mandarin tree. Roughly speaking, you can classify mandarins into four types: the common mandarin, the Mediterranean mandarin, the satsuma and the king mandarin. Because of their sweet taste and loose skin, mandarins are well liked by children.

Preparation & storage
Storage
Store tangerines preferably outside the fridge, in a cool place (12-15°C) or on the fruit tray. After picking, they do not ripen and remain good for 1 to 2 weeks.
How do I know if a tangerine is no longer good? The tangerine then goes mouldy, is completely dried out or loses its flavour. You can quickly recognise this decay by looking, smelling or even tasting.
Preparation
Tangerines are easier to peel than oranges, because their skin is looser. The segments also separate quicker.
