A minneola is a cross between a mandarin and a grapefruit. Its flavour is fresh and sour. Minneolas are easy to peel. The colour of the skin and flesh is beautiful orange. The minneola has a recognisable 'nose'. This is a bulge in the skin where the stem used to be.

Preparation & storage
Storage
Minneolas are best stored at around 12°C. Can't do this? Then the fruit bowl is a good alternative. At room temperature, they come to taste well.
How do I know if a minneola is no longer good? The minneola is mouldy, completely dried out or losing its flavour. You can quickly recognise this decay by looking, smelling or even tasting.
Preparation
Wash the minneola. Minneolas are easy to peel, so you can eat the segments or process them.
You can use the fruit, juice and skin of the minneola. Scrub the minneola well if you want to use the skin.
