Portobello

A portobello is nothing but an out-sized chestnut mushroom. The portobello has a diameter of up to 12 cm. Its size makes the portobello very suitable for filling. Fill the portobello with egg, beans or nuts, for example. Delicious when you don't want to eat meat for a day. This mushroom is also delicious for frying or grilling.

Preparation & storage
Store
Store portobello in the fridge. They will then keep for 5-7 days.
Do not store portobello with strong-smelling vegetables, such as leeks and onions. Portobellos easily pick up odours. Do not store them with fruit either, as they will deteriorate more quickly.
How do I know if the portobello mushrooms are no longer good? Portobello mushrooms are mouldy, limp or have a sour smell. You can quickly recognise spoilage by looking, smelling or even tasting.
Preparation
Cut off the bottom of the stem before preparation and throw it away.
