


Sapodilla



The sapodilla is round or oval, this depends on the variety. The skin is thin, firm rough and dull brown. The ripe flesh is glassy yellow-brown. A ripe sapodilla has a caramel-like flavour. The fruit is high in fibre and energy, similar to bananas and sweet potato, for example.

Storage
Do you want the fruit to ripen a little more? Then store the fruit together with banana in a sealed bag at room temperature. The ethylene gas released by the banana will ripen the sapodilla.
If necessary, you can keep a ripe sapodilla in the refrigerator.

Peel or halve the fruit and scoop it out.
