Sheepsfoot is firm and tasty. In terms of flavour, the sheepsfoot is slightly peppery. The Yellow Spiny Mushroom is a wild mushroom. This mushroom gets its name from the fact that there are no lamellae under the cap, but small soft spines.

Storage
Use the sheepsfoot as fresh as possible. Store sheepsfoot in the fridge at a temperature between 4° and 7°C. You can then store this product for 2 to 3 days.

Cut a piece from the bottom of the stalk, then slice or quarter.

Cooking: 5-7 minutes
Stir-frying: 2-4 minutes
Microwave oven: 2-3 minutes
Deep-frying: 2-4 minutes
Grilling: 2-4 minutes
Braising: approx. 10 minutes
Steaming: approx. 6 minutes
Cleaning the foot of the yellow spiny mushroom
Clean dry with a kitchen paper or mushroom brush. Do not wash, or they will fill up with water, losing flavour.
