Vene Cress

Vene Cress has pretty leaves with red veins. Its flavour is slightly sour. Vene Cress is rich in ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and has been used for centuries. Its history goes back to the Romans, who ate this variety of sorrel to prevent scurvy. The Romans also used the herb to make their rich (fatty) food more digestible.
