Braised broad beans

350gr vegetables p.p.
Ingredients
2 persons
2 dl stock with less salt |
1 slice of ham |
1 tablespoon liquid margarine |
1 shallot |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1 1/2 kg broad beans |
Preparation
1. Shell the broad beans.
2. Clean and chop the shallot small.
3. Fry the shallot in the margarine until glazy.
4. Add the broad beans and stock and bring to the boil. Cook the broad beans for about 10-12 minutes until tender.
5. Chop the ham and stir in.
6. Stir the cornstarch with some water into a paste and use this to thicken the liquid. Season the vegetables with some pepper.
Menu suggestion: Delicious with a pork chop and potatoes.
