Glazed parsnips

250gr vegetables p.p.
Ingredients
2 persons
500g parsnips |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 orange |
1 tablespoon liquid margarine |
Preparation
1. Wash the parsnip or peel it with a peeler.
2. Cut the parsnip into slices or sticks.
3. Scrub the orange thoroughly.
4. Grate the outside of the peel and squeeze the orange.
5. Heat the margarine and fry the parsnips until soft.
6. Add the orange juice and grated zest and some water and braise the parsnips for 5-8 minutes until tender.
7. Remove the lid from the pan and sprinkle the sugar over the vegetables.
8. On high heat, let the liquid evaporate until the vegetables are coated.
Menu suggestion: Delicious with roasted chickpeas and potatoes.
