Cumelo

The cumelo is a fresh, sweet mix between cucumber and melon. The name cumelo is therefore a mix of cucumber and melon. It is a genuine Italian local product from the Puglia region, where it is known as Barattiere. The cumelo is actually a melon that is harvested before it is fully ripe, which makes its flavour more similar to that of a cucumber.
