


Radicchio



Radicchio belongs to the chicory family. The head is round and small. The head has purple-red leaves and white veins. Radicchio is usually eaten raw. The crisp, firm leaves are tightly packed in the head. The taste is somewhat bitter, like chicory. Radicchio is often found in bags of mixed lettuce.
Preparation & storage
Remove the stiff outer leaves. Use the leaves or cut the head into strips.
Preparation time
Cooking: approx. 10 minutes
Braising: approx. 10 minutes
Grilling: 15 minutes
