Cauliflower dish

200gr vegetables p.p.

Ingredients

2 persons

600 grams of potatoes
1 small cauliflower
piece of leek
150 grams of mushrooms
150 grams of minced beef
1 tablespoon of liquid margarine
1 tablespoon of tomato puree
paprika
± 150 ml of semi-skimmed milk
nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Peel the potatoes and boil them in little water for about 20 minutes until tender.
  2. Clean and cut the cauliflower into florets.
  3. Clean the leeks and cut them into narrow rings.
  4. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
  5. Cook the cauliflower in a little water for approx. 8 minutes until just tender.
  6. Fry the minced meat in margarine in a frying pan until tender and loose.
  7. Fry the leek rings and mushrooms for a few minutes. Add the tomato puree and 100 ml of water and heat well.
  8. Flavour the mixture with pepper and paprika.
  9. Bring the milk to the boil.
  10. Make a creamy puree of the potatoes with hot milk. Flavour the mashed potatoes with pepper and nutmeg.
  11. Spoon half of the mashed potatoes into an ovenproof dish and divide the mince mixture on top.
  12. Spoon the cauliflower on top and cover with the rest of the puree.
  13. Let the dish turn golden under a hot grill or in a preheated hot oven (200 °C).
