Italian TikTok wrap with sage
With seasonal products

145gr vegetables p.p.

Ingredients

2 persons

2 whole-wheat wraps (60g each)
1 tomato
1 ball of mozzarella (125g)
half a courgette
2 tbsp sieved tomatoes/passata (without added salt)
6 fresh sage leaves
freshly ground pepper or Italian herbs

Preparation

Are you already familiar with TikTok's latest wrap trend? This is how you go about it: you take a wrap and cut it down to the middle. You top each quarter with tasty (vegetable) toppings and fold the wrap up like a package. We made a delicious Italian version. For everyone in the mood for sunshine! When will you make it?

  1. Heat a toaster.
  2. Clean the tomatoes: wash and slice them.
  3. Clean the courgette: wash and shave (with cheese slicer) lengthwise for long slices.
  4. Slice the mozzarella.
  5. Finely chop the sage leaves.
  6. Take the wraps and a knife. Make a slit up to the middle. Top each quarter (clockwise) with: 1. tomato (top left), 2. mozzarella, 3. courgette and 4. layer tomato sauce with sage and. Season with freshly ground pepper and/or Italian herbs. Drizzle with some olive or truffle oil if necessary.
  7. Now it comes: you're going to fold the tortilla instead of rolling it. Starting with the bottom left quarter, fold it upwards. Now fold to the right and then down. Tada, now you have a quarter point of tortilla layers.
  8. Place the folded wrap in the sandwich iron until the mozzarella is melted and/or you see nice grill marks.

Tip: Don't have a toaster iron? Then you can also fry the wrap in a pan.
