Chives

The origin of chives is in China, but today they are grown in Europe and America. Wild chives can be found in Belgium and the Netherlands. The plant belongs to the garlic family and is related to bulbous plants such as onion, leek and garlic. Chives have a delicate onion flavour, but are also used to add colour to dishes.
