Salad with venison ham and walnuts

Ingredients
2 persons
30 g thinly sliced venison ham |
6 fresh figs |
200 g mixed lettuce |
1 red onion cut into half rings |
1 Elstar apple |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1 teaspoon apple syrup |
25 g walnuts |
chervil chives or parsley if desired |
Preparation
Dressing:
- Mix the apple syrup with the vinegar.
- Add the olive oil to this mixture while stirring.
Salad:
- Put the washed, mixed lettuce in a bowl.
- Wash the apple and cut into strips.
- Finely chop the red onion.
- Add the red onion, apple and half of the dressing.
- Season with freshly ground pepper.
- Dress the dressed salad in the centre of a spacious salad plate.
- Divide the ham slices between the plates and arrange them in florets against the salad.
- Divide the rest of the dressing between the plates and drizzle it nicely over the salad.
- Garnish the salad with wedges of fresh figs and chopped walnuts and a sprig of chervil, chives or parsley. Enjoy!
Menu suggestion: Delicious with a few slices of toasted wholemeal bread.
