White cabbage is a firm, round ball with closed leaves. White cabbage is very tasty to eat and easy to prepare. White cabbage is also used to make sauerkraut. White cabbage has a neutral flavour. So you can vary it endlessly. What is also interesting: it is never expensive. White cabbage is best stored in the fridge.

Preparation & storage

    Storage
You can keep white cabbage in the fridge for several weeks. It can also be stored on the fruit rack, but its shelf life will be shorter.

Ready-to-eat (pre-cut) white cabbage can be kept in the fridge for a few days, covered with cling film.

Fresh white cabbage can be kept in the freezer after blanching (2-4 minutes) for up to 12 months.
