Ingredients

1 tablespoon shaved almonds |
1 whole-wheat egg cake |
½ press orange |
1 apple |
2 tablespoons (apricot) jam without sugar |
100 ml low-fat vanilla custard with sweetener |
Preparation
A delicious variation on the English trifle with a wholemeal egg cake, apple, jam and vanilla custard.
- Toast the almonds in a dry frying pan, take them out and let them cool.
- Cut the egg cake into small cubes and divide between 2 glass bowls or coupes.
- Squeeze the orange.
- Peel the apple, cut it into small cubes and put them in the bowls.
- Stir the jam with the orange juice and spoon it onto the apple cubes.
- Spread the custard on top and garnish with the almonds.
