Fruit spider with prey treat

85gr fruit p.p.
Ingredients
8 persons
8 large tangerines
8 soaked figs (approx. 22.5 g each)
8 white seedless grapes
cocktail sticks (approx. 72 pieces)
Preparation
This fruit spider loves fruit! Not only does he have his paws in fruit, but he also has a fat fruit prey to catch.
- Clean the grapes: pick from the bunch and wash.
- Spin legs: insert 8 cocktail sticks into the fig, break the legs and secure in the tangerine. Keep space for its 'claws' and prey.
- Spider prey: take 1 cocktail stick and break off the ends (about 2 cm per end). Secure the 'claws' near the spider's head. Prick the grape into the claws and 2 front legs.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each fruit spider. The ingredients are for 8 treats.
Tip:
Instead of soaked figs, you can use dried figs if you like. These tend to be 'tougher' though. This makes them a little harder to process and less suitable for small children.
