Homemade plum jam with walnuts

Homemade plum jam with walnuts

41gr fruit p.p.

Ingredients

1 kg plums
100 grams walnuts
2 tablespoons lemon juice
powdered or liquid gelling agent of your choice (for the right amount
see the instructions for use on the packaging of the respective product)
15 ml liquid sweetener or 5 tablespoons powdered sweetener
2-3 jars with lids

Preparation

Once you've tried this homemade plum jam, you'll never want to go back to ready-made!

  1. Clean jam jars and any lids with hot soda water. Use 1 tablespoon of baking soda to 1 litre of water.
  2. Rinse everything with clean, hot water.
  3. Drain the jars and lids upside down on a clean tea towel.
  4. Wash the plums, cut them into pieces and remove the seeds.
  5. Chop the walnuts small.
  6. Boil the plums in a little water until soft.
  7. Add the walnuts, lemon juice and gelling agent to the plum puree. Cook for 1 minute, stirring well.
  8. Stir in the sweetener from the heat.
  9. Pour the hot jam into clean jars and seal.
