Turnip with apple

250gr vegetables p.p. & 60gr fruit p.p.
Ingredients
2 persons
500g turnip |
1 tablespoon liquid margarine |
1 apple |
½ press orange |
Preparation
1. Slice the turnip. Peel the turnip slices and cut them into cubes or strips.
2. Cook the vegetables in little water for 10 minutes until tender.
3. Peel the apple, remove the core and cut into cubes.
4. Squeeze the orange. Heat the orange juice with the diced apple.
5. Drain the cooked swede and mix the swede with the apple.
6. Warm through and season with some pepper.
Menu suggestion: Delicious with stewed chicken thighs and jacket potatoes.
