Watermelon cooler

150gr fruit p.p.
Ingredients
2 persons
1 large slice of watermelon |
1 piece of lemon peel |
1 press orange |
6 ice cubes |
Preparation
On a hot summer day, this cooling watermelon cooler should not be missed. A fancy drink and fruit snack in one, ideal right? Besides, it is also very simple to make.
- Cut the flesh of the melon from the skin and remove the seeds. Cut the melon into pieces.
- Keep 2 nice cubes for the garnish.
- Cut a piece of lemon peel very finely and cut 2 nice strips of zest.
- Squeeze the orange.
- Puree the melon with the crushed lemon peel and orange juice.
- In a clean tea towel, beat the ice cubes into grit.
- Put the ice into 2 tall glasses and pour the fruit puree on top.
- On the rim of the glass, stick the cube of melon left behind and garnish with the lemon peel. Serve with a spoon.
Lemon left over?
Just peeled off some of the zest? The whole lemon will keep for up to 2 weeks outside the fridge.
